The July 2001 Quest dealt with colors in movies.  Here are the answers:

1. Son of Frankenstein 1939 Redone in black and white because of budget restrictions.
2. Wizard of Oz 1939 Starts and ends in black and white (originally sepia), the rest in color.
3. Memento 2000 Has scenes in B&W, scenes in color, scenes arranged backward in time.
4. Traffic 2000 Uses different coloration for different locales.
5. Schindler's List 1993 Only color is a child's red dress in one scene.
6. Spellbound 1945 Was all black and white except for a red gunshot.
7. The Black Pirate 1926
(not
1929)
First full-length movie filmed entirely in color (1929).
8. Casablanca 1942 B&W classic (1942) got controversial colorization in 1988.  Process largely discontinued.  A Ted Turner operation.
9. Uncle Tom's Cabin 1914 Was the first movie with black and white actors.

The August Quest is a complex one which I have been working on for over a year in gathering examples.  Each of the famous persons listed has his profession shown in parentheses.  But each of these had a secondary profession which is one of those in parentheses after some else's name.  Can you find the matches?  Occupations can be used more than once.

John F. Dulles (Secretary of State)
Charles Goren (bridge expert)
King Henry VIII (head of country)
William Herschel (astronomer)
