Calendar Feature Maintenance

The calendar feature will be undergoing some maintenance over the next few days. During this time you might find specific months or even all months unavailable. It is also possible that some or all information on a calendar may be incorrect during this period. I ask for your patience during this time as this change will improve our ability to maintain an accurate and useful calendar going forward

Columbus RG - Mind Body and Soul is Over - Don't miss out on the fun Next Year!

July 31st to August 2nd This year's RG is the same weekend as the Dublin Irish Fest, so hotel space is at a premium. The Hotel will honor the reservation block until July 1st, and after that the rates will probably go up considerably, and may well sell out. The hotel is veerrry antsy about us getting our reservations in. Reserve early and often! The # for the hotel (which should be on the flyer, too, and apparently I forgot to include it!) is 614-885-4084 and it is the Comfort Inn North at 1213 E. Dublin-Granville Road. They can ask for the Mensa rate of $64.99 but it isn't guaranteed. People who would like to experience a taste of the RG and get that warm fuzzy feeling that comes with volunteering can take us up on our 2 for 2 offer. Volunteer for 2 hours and get 2 hours of access to all the RG has to offer. Contact Rachel to sign up. Volunteers do things like Thursday night set up/Sunday afternoon pack up/washing dishes, collecting trash, manning hospitality, helping prep for meals or clean up after meals, sitting at registration, etc. Volunteers who would like to stay past their allotted 2 hours can pay to stay for the remainder of the RG. Registrar will pro-rate the amount accordingly. We're offering our "Free Friday Night" to Columbus Area Mensans and their families. Any paid-up member of Columbus Area Mensa can bring their July copy of the Col-M to the RG for free admittance on Friday night! Immediate family members are welcome, too. A $15.00 value for $10.00!    Continental breakfasts are provided by the hotel with bagels, cereal, etc.    All supplemented by our own Hospitality.    James will be getting fresh doughnuts each morning! Finally: Family members and significant others of Mensans are very welcome at our Regional Gathering and all Social SIG events! We are a welcoming and inclusive group!

What is Mensa?

It is a society that welcomes people from every walk of life whose IQ is in the top two percent of the population on any number of standardized tests, with the objective of enjoying each other's company and participating in a wide range of social and cultural activities.

Do I qualify?

Statistics show that 80% of people who think they are in the top two percent are indeed in the top two percent; okay I made that statistic up but my point is that by even visiting this website you are interested in finding out what makes you, well you, and you think it just might have something to do with the way you think. Maybe you already have a Qualifying Score. Or maybe you would like to take a non-qualifiying Home Test to guage your chances. Either way take a look around and see if this a place where you can be yourself.

How do I Join?

Joining Mensa requires you to either submit a Qualifying Score via an online Application Form or if you're at least 14 years of age, you can take a supervised, standardized test given by one of our certified member volunteers.
